“We have come out with a variety, with menu of options, online is not the only answer, there’s a huge debate in the Philippines on how useful or whether it is really a good way of teaching learners, so we have online, we have televisions, we have radio. If all else fails, then learning modules are being printed so that these will be delivered in various pick-up points or either parents or for the village officials to distribute to the learners.”

I love the tenacity of our DepEd Secretary. The undying high spirited young learner still lives in her. Unstoppable. COVID19 is a virus. It will stay just like other viruses that passed humanity that we humans find the vaccine to co-exist. We will miss a few students this school year, but for those who stayed and enrolled, congratulations! Can education be confined? Well, I hate to disappoint you, but Jesus said learning is unconfined by time and space. Did Jesus Christ our Lord say so? Yes, he did! Remember the story of the Rich man and Lazarus? The rich man in hell; he learned a lot of things! He learned that after separation from his physical body, he has another being that can get tormented, can cry out for mercy, can get thirsty, and can get really so concern about his siblings. (Luke 16:19-31) We can say learning and experience have no time and space requirements.
To all of us unstoppable, an unstoppable gift:
